Quiltworx.com is really excited to be featured in the April edition of APQ magazine in an article entitled “Can Do Quilting”!  In addition to the article, the magazine also includes instructions for our new fun and easy Paddlewheel quilt pattern created using Reclaimed West fabrics.

We’re also holding a promotion over the time of this publication that customers completing a sample and submitting it to us on Facebook will be eligible for a contest to win a free Reclaimed West Fabric Kit of your choice. The sample must be made out of either Reclaimed West fabrics or the coordinating Batik Collection, Firestorm. We will pull from all the contestants, and the contest will be finalized by April 7^th, 2015.

You will need a copy of the magazine for instructions, along with the paper package, and fabrics.  Several shops have pre-purchased the pattern (and fabric!) and completed their own colorway of this quilt design! Sneak Peek at the Technique of the Month!

Quiltworx is very excited to share third Technique of the Month pattern:  Paradise in Blooms with you!  The pattern is due out for publication on January 1st, 2015 and can be purchased from any of our Certified Shops.  Workshops through our Certified Instructors and Shops are also available.  To find our Certified Shops and Instructors click here.

Get ready to embark on a Quiltworx Special Event that is a once in a lifetime opportunity!  Madeline Island School of the Arts, ranking among the top five art and craft schools in the country, provides exceptional workshops, renowned instructors, and superior on-site accomodations all in a unique island setting.

During this unique retreat, take a series of collaborative workshops with Judy Niemeyer and two Certified Quiltworx Instructors. Work on an exclusive pattern not available to the general public, which will be provided through the Quiltworx University Program.

Trunk shows and color workshops in the evenings, and plenty of time for free-sew or personalized attention with Judy and her instructors will be the highlight of the week. You can also get feedback on projects brought from home.

Ice Crystals: A Simple Elements Design is our FIRST pattern release in a new line of pattern products that we refer to as Simple Elements.  With floating units, engulfed in a sea of background fabrics, the Ice Crystals pattern is elegant, yet simple, fast, and affordable for the size of the finished quilt.  The ample background allows us to show off fabrics with fun elements, like the wonderful Tonga Jack Frost batik line with stars, snowflakes, snowy branches, and holly leaves!  In shades of blue, both dark, like the wintery night sky, and light, like an icy lake, this pattern would make a wonderful gift for your granddaughter this year as Icy Princesses are all the rage!  

A replacement paper package is available to make a second sample or expand the size of this quilt to a queen size layout (see the mock-up in the Official Samples section of the pattern page and reference the inside of the pattern for queen-size information).

Batiks in Bloom – Now in Reclaimed West!

Although flower patterns have been around for a long time, Batiks in Bloom is taking these designs to a whole new level with fully-illustrated, step by step directions for creating flowers and bouquets, one flower design at a time! 

Designer, Barb Niemeyer Fink has over 25 years experience with wreath and floral design work and has successfully translated  her new flower pattern designs!  She has used her flower packs to create a series of wreaths, bouquets, and table arrangements using Reclaimed West fabrics! 

To purchase the individual seed packs, visit our website.  Project sheets showing arrangements of multiple flowers are available under various seed pack listings and Reclaimed West fabrics have been shown as an option to batiks!  Create a flower arrangement that will last forever and matches your quilt!
