Patterns are Now Available!

We’re really excited to announce that our fifth, and newest Technique of the Month pattern, the Carnival Flower, is now available. You’ll find kitting information for all of the quilts featured on the pattern cover sheets (shown above) on the pattern webpage. This pattern is only available for purchase through our Certified Shops, or by taking a class with a Certified Instructor.

We have almost completed our first shipment of patterns to our Certified teams, and are wrapping up the last few kits that included shipping-delayed fabrics. They will be in our Certified Shops’ and Instructors’ hands within the next few weeks if they don’t have them already!

The Carnival Flower Queen is 99″x99″, and retails for $194.50, while the Carnival Flower Wall quilt is 80″x80″ and retails for $142.00. You can also expand the Wall sized pattern to King size, 118×118, by purchasing the Wall quilt along with a JNQ00277H King Expansion border ($57.50).

Carnival Flower quilts of all sizes are available as kits in a variety of colorways from our Certified Shops through the Quiltster Marketplace.

Auditioning fabrics with Quiltster does require a subscription which is easy to start and easy to stop.

Carnival Flower Machine Embroidery

This product includes digitized embroidery applique designs compatible with the Quiltworx Carnival Flower’s gumdrop and circle applique. Foundation papers and applique sheets are sold separately.

The download contains machine embroidery designs in the following formats: .ART, .DST, .EXP, .HUS, .JEF, .PES, .VIP, .VP3.

There are three methods to complete the embroidery for your dots and gumdrops: applique with decorative embroidery, applique with a satin stitch, and solid embroidery. (See front pattern cover for examples.)

Units F1, F2, G1, and G2 can be stitched in one hooping each using a hoop with an embroidery field that is at least 200mm x 200mm (7.8” x 7.8”). Units J1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 can be stitched in two hoopings each using a hoop with an embroidery field that is at least 200mm x 200mm (7.8” x 7.8”).

Stitch-out instructions for both the Wall Version and the Queen version.

Mirror and non-mirror templates for cutting out shapes.

Cutting instructions and SVG cutting files that can be used with your preferred electronic cutting machine. (There are also instructions for preparing Applique shapes using the Stitch-N-Peel Templates.)

The Quiltworx Companion Collection of machine quilting rulers was developed by Michael Quilts for both longarm and domestic machine quilters who either do their own quilting of their personal Judy Niemeyer Quiltworx quilts or who quilt for other people and offer custom, digitized, and combination custom quilting. Even if you use a complete digitized quilting set for Quiltworx quilts, you may want to go the extra step and ditch some of the major shapes that the digitized designs fill. It’s a fantastic extra touch to make those Quiltworx quilts even more spectacular!

DAISY DITCH & ECHO is designed to assist in ditching and echoing the large petal shape that you will find in Quiltworx patterns: The Lotus Flower, Egyptian Lotus, Mysterious Courtyard, and Dragonflies and Butterflies to name a few. The curve is the same on the outside and inside (just as all of Michael Quilts curved rulers are) to offer flexibility in positioning while quilting. Get an accurate outline (ditch) of the main shape and use for echoing with minimal adjustments. 12″ x 4″ x 1/4″

Curved Diamond Cutting and Trimming Ruler

The ruler in this package can be used as a trimming tool for the Curved Diamond units used in various designs by Quiltworx.com, including the Candy Coated Snowflakes design, the Dinner Plate Dahlia (one ruler is included in each pattern automatically).

Judy uses this ruler for TONS of her designs, almost any pattern that has curves, like Silver Shores, Macaw, Crimson Poppy, Fields of Aster, Wild Goose Island, Fortune Teller, The Pineapple, and more!

The ruler in this package can be used as a trimming tool for the Sea Leaf units used in various designs by Quiltworx.com, including the Coral Reef pattern. One ruler is included in each Coral Reef pattern, so if you have one of those, you will not need a stand alone ruler. This ruler is for those who have not ordered the Coral Reef pattern in the past.

Quiltworx has many designs that have curves and a couple other curve ruler options. This ruler is different than Judy’s other rulers as the curved edges are more pronounced, making it a great option for cutting deeper curves in your quilts.

We like this ruler specifically for patterns like Cabin Fever, Country Picnic, The Beach House, Osprey’s Nest Log Cabin, and the Lincoln Log Cabin Table Topper. It is also a great ruler for quilts that use the Fireworks block series, like Riptides, Autumn Wildwoods, Sunflower Illusions, and others.

What are Quiltworx Compatible Strip Sets?

They are a set of 48 fabrics cut into 2-1/2″ strips designed by Judy and Judel Niemeyer with Timeless Treasures. The fabrics are presorted into 6 groups of 8 fabrics, and each of the groups are further sorted from lightest to darkest fabrics.

What’s special about these sets is that they can be used in a number of Judy’s patterns with the addition of a background and/or sashing fabric. If you own a Quiltworx.com Strip Set Compatible pattern you can substitute any of the currently available strip sets. Here’s a list of 21 patterns that work with Quiltworx Strip Sets:

The Blue Moon Placemats are a foundation paper pieced introductory pattern first published in the summer of 2022. Each pattern includes enough papers, and cutting templates to complete (6) 12×18 placemats. There will be a Pre-Class Live Stream November 15, 2022 @ 1:00 p.m. MST

We’re pleased to announce our next Quilt-Along with Judy Live Event, The Goodnight Star, is right around the corner and it’s FREE! Not only that but we’ve upgraded our internet and think that the Live Stream will be much better this time around! To test it out, we’re doing a pre-class Live Stream on November 15, 2022, where we’ll show you Quiltster and the Goodnight Star pattern, how to find kits, and also explain how to prepare your kits for the event.

Then you can join us on December 2, 2022, for The Goodnight Star Live Stream! You’ll learn everything you need to know to complete this pattern, and the techniques can be used for many of our other patterns as well (like Starbaby, and portions of Twinkle Star), so it will be well worth seeing, even if you’re working on other patterns.

Mark your calendars:

• November 15, 2022 – 1-2 p.m. MST – Goodnight Star Pre-Class Live Stream
• December 2, 2022 – 1 p.m. to (no later than) 5 p.m. MST – The Goodnight Star

All of Judy’s live demonstrations will be recorded, so if you can’t make the Live Events, all of the segments will be available for viewing after the classes have ended on both Facebook and YouTube, free. If there are technical difficulties, we’ll record the session off-line, and post it on both our Facebook feed and our YouTube Channel.

As mentioned, kits and patterns are available. Quiltworx and our wonderful Certified Shops and Instructors will be preparing kits for all of these classes, so check out the links below.

If you’d like to make the Tula Pink version of these patterns, but already have an older version of the patterns in a different colorway, we recommend purchasing the updated pattern/instructions as they’re written for these workshops and the Tula Pink colorways. That will make it easier for you to follow along with the workshop.
