Designed by the talented duo Judy and Brad Niemeyer, this stunning foundation paper pieced border frames your favorite panel with bold flying geese, classic bear paw blocks, and elegant decorative line borders — every element a nod to the untamed beauty of the wilderness.

The border is adjustable to fit one of three panel finish sizes — 36×44, 30×44, and 24×44 — making it compatible with a wide variety of panels from multiple fabric companies.

Alpine Tracks was the featured FREE project for Box Program subscribers in the first quarter of 2026 — and now it’s available for everyone to enjoy. An online demonstration is coming soon, walking you through exactly how this border comes together, making it an ideal starting project whether you’re new to Judy Niemeyer-style paper piecing or a seasoned pro looking for your next adventure.

Replacement Papers are available for those who want to border more than one favorite panel — because once you’ve made one, you’ll want to make more. Stock your sewing room with the notions you’ll need: glue sticks, repositionable glue, fold templates, rotary cutters, fresh needles, and your favorite rulers.

Alpine Tracks would be at home alongside any National Park fabric panel, western landscape, or wildlife panel you love. Display it proudly on a bed or hang it on the wall — either way, it brings a little bit of the trail, the timber, and the open sky into your space.
