Chantilly Star is a graceful evolution of our beloved Prismatic Star series, designed to teach the foundational strip piecing technique used in most of our Lone Star quilts. This 100″ x 100″ layout features (48) diamond blocks, a background, and a border—all assembled using 2-1/2″ strips. It’s ideal for beginners eager to master Judy’s Lone Star method, as well as seasoned quilters who appreciate a project that comes together with ease and elegance.
The cover quilt showcases Marcus Fabrics’ Franklin House Collection designed by Delores Smith. Soft cream and blue tones in the background fabric beautifully offset by deeper greys and beiges create a delicate lace-like illusion. The result is a quilt as refined as it is cozy—perfect as a bedroom centerpiece, wall hanging, or cuddle quilt.
Prefer a moodier palette? We’ve created a dark colorway using many of the same Franklin House fabrics, offering a richer, more dramatic take on the design. A kitting sheet with yardage for this alternate version is available below, making it easy to plan and prepare your project.
Looking to upsize? Chantilly Star can be expanded from 100″ to 118″ with the purchase of a 3-Tiered or 4-Tiered Adjustable Border, allowing you to tailor the quilt to your space and vision. Options for both of these borders can be found by clicking the Buy Now button.
