4th of July 2026 is an updated publication featuring a new color layout for the 2021 update of an old-time favorite pattern first published by Quiltworx in 2005. The new publication is not compatible with the older pattern. This pattern is comprised of five basic block groups designed with our newest Quiltworx Mixer Group called Fireworks. The quilt blocks were designed by Judy and Bradley Niemeyer. The layout and colorway was created by Judel Niemeyer using Quiltster using Timeless Treasures ColorStock collection.

Want to get a head start on your blocks? Because 4th of July shares the same blocks as the Geodes pattern, you can watch Judy Niemeyer in action online — for free! This demonstration features Judy walking you through fabric cutting using templates, paper piecing, and block assembly so you can jump in with confidence before your pattern even arrives.  View the Geodes playlist!

There are many ways to expand your Quiltworx designs into larger sizes with compatible border packages by clicking the Buy Now button.  If listed, you should purchase the Introduction Booklet for the size quilt you want.  Then, you should select expansion borders of your choice.  The following information explains ways to expand your quilt.
