Seasonal Table Runners

Supply List:

Judy Niemeyer Seasonal Table Runners Pattern (Can be purchased at Quiltworx.com)
Purple Thang                                    Add-a-Quarter Ruler                            4 x 16”Plastic Template (for folding)
Flower Pins                                       Glue Stick (UHU)                                     Glue Pen
Gallon Plastic Bags*                      Large Paper Clips*                                Metal Black Clips*
Rotary Cutter/Blades*                 Self-healing Cutting Mat*                  Thread/#70 Needles
At least 6 x 18 grid flat ruler*
 
** You will need your normal sewing supplies and machine
 
Optional: (Not necessary)
Small iron                                Ironing Pad                                          Light table/Pencil

Material Requirements:

Background Fabrics:    1 ½ yard of Light Background Fabric
                               ¾ yard of Darker Outer Circle Background Fabric
Spikes and Geese:       ½ yard:  EACH of five (5) textured fabrics
Binding and Backing:    1 ½ yards

 

A good rule of thumb – is to purchase additional fabric in each color – any amount from ¼ yard to 1/3 yard should do.  This is just in case you might run short – and mistakes can happen while cutting or piecing.  Save your scraps – you could possibly need them later…

 

The staff at your local quilt shop will be more than willing to help you with your color selection or you can wait for the class.
 
Agenda:
Day 1 – Fabric selection/Fabric cutting/Pattern cutting – (If you have done this prior to class (I will help you get started on the project) – Do not bring your sewing machine to this class – just the single asterisk (*) items.
 
Day 2 – Come prepared and “Bright Eyed and Busy Tail” – because we will learn the techniques that will help you complete your project!
