The Tea Leaf Table Runner is back by popular demand, reimagined in a lush new colorway using fabrics from Hoffman’s Mother Earth Collection. This is your invitation to slow down and steep in the moment—two graceful, curving leaves that fall together like they’ve drifted from an ancient tree onto a quiet garden table.
Part of the Quiltworx.com Leaf Collection, this pattern is designed to teach the art of Curved Paper Piecing in a project that’s as approachable as it is elegant. Deep emerald greens, misty blues, and dappled florals move across each leaf like light filtering through tree canopy onto a teahouse veranda—the kind of place where porcelain cups steam quietly and time slows to the rhythm of a poured cup of tea.
The pattern includes enough papers to piece two Tea Leaf Table Runners, so you can display them nestled together as a single flowing runner, set apart at each end of the table, or hang them as graceful wall accents that bring a touch of tranquil, natural elegance to any room.
This project is an ideal entry point into Curved Paper Piecing—perfect for quilters who want to build confidence with curves before taking on larger pieces like our Hosta Series patterns. Whether you’re new to the technique or simply drawn to this new colorway, the Tea Leaf Table Runner offers a peaceful, rewarding stitching journey from start to finish.
Designed by Judy and Bradley Niemeyer, with this beautiful new colorway created by Judel Niemeyer using Quiltster.
You’ll also find kitting information for three additional colorways featured in the 2026 Q3 Small Box:

- True Colors by Tula Pink for FreeSpirit
