Certified Shop Quilt Foundry is located in Maumee, Ohio – a small town on the outskirts of Toledo.  The building we are located in was built in 1841, this building has had a commercial business in it longer than any other building in Ohio.  It has been a quilt shop for the last 32 years and I have owned it for 2.5 years.

The best thing about owning a shop is meeting all of you, my customers. I have a hard time getting other things done because I always want to be on the sales floor helping people pick out fabrics and patterns.

We are excited to be a Certified Shop and look forward to sharing our very large selections of batiks, as well as many other fabrics with you.  We are proud to offer classes, belong to 2 shop hop groups and are now offering 2 retreats this summer to people who are interested in Quiltworx projects.  We also have at least 2 “parties” each year.  Last year we had a Lasagne party to make the “Lasagne Quilt” and we had a chili cookoff and made a “Chili Quilt”.  We are planning a slipper party to make slippers and want to do an apple party this fall to make the Apple Core Quilt.
