Become a Certified Instructor

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING A CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR, there are some things you should consider, including:

  1. Are you willing to travel and work evenings and weekends (as this is when most classes are held so that those people who work can take the class, too)?
  2. Have you taught and are you comfortable in front of a group of people?
  3. Have you made any of Judy’s patterns?  We require a minimum of 5 patterns before you will be eligible to enter a Pre-certification Workshop (not including Technique of the Month Quilts).
  4. Can you provide at least two references from quilt shops that you are already working with?  Past teaching experience is critical.
  5. Have you taken classes with Judy?  We require a minimum of a variety of classes with Judy and Certified Instructors prior to Certification that are described in further detail in the attachment included in the “Click Here” link below.
  6. Are you located in an area that does not have enough Quiltworx.com workshops happening to serve the paper-piecing market that you know to exist?

The DETAILS of becoming a Certified Instructor are listed in the attached link.  PLEASE READ before contacting Quiltworx.com to discuss Certification.

CERTIFICATION MATERIALS ~ PLEASE READ.

If you think you generally met the above 6 criteria, have read the Certified Teaching Class Outline and Teaching Material, please contact Judel (judel@quiltworx.com) at Quiltworx.com for an application to our program.
