DESCRIPTION:The Niemeyer Club focuses on foundation paper piecing patterns by celebrated designer Judy Niemeyer (www.quiltworx.com).  Vintage Rose is the 4th ‘Technique’ that brings together a wide-range of techniques for foundation paper piecing. Vintage Rose is divided into 6 sections. The sections start in the centre\, working outwards toward the pieced border. \nThis class is for those new to paper piecing and those wanting to learn more.  The pattern results in a stunning quilt.  The instructor\, Michele\, is a Certified Instructor with Quiltworx. Michele has completed 35 various patterns from Quiltworx. \nNote: Previous foundation (paper) piecing experience is NOT a requirement. \nDuring each of the 5 club sessions\, Michele will present a construction element and/or demonstrate a technique pertinent to this sessions’ projects.  The balance of the time will be spent sewing. \nWhat you will learn in this class: \n\nHow to read and work with a Judy Niemeyer pattern.\nThe technique for cutting apart the foundation papers.\nCutting\, stacking\, chain piecing techniques\nRegistration Points (RP)\nCurved paper-piecing\, curved assembly using (RP) Lines\nAssembly using long “S” curves\n\nClasses will focus on various techniques\, AND will leave lots of time to sew-cialize. \nThis is a club; do as little or as much homework as you like! \n
