DESCRIPTION:Quilting Adventures – located at 1601 Willow Lawn #108 (Shopping Center)\, Richmond\, VA 23230 – Just signed on in presenting the technique of the month (TOM) of Judy’s Glacier Star – We will be starting the class in October 2013 \nClass schedule is as follows: \n10/19/2013 – Pick up pattern (basic pattern costs $65.00 + tax) Queen Version ($100.00 plus tax) Tax being 6%. (MD Tax).  Andrea will help you pick out your color way for this pattern.  If you have “stash” you want to incorporate into this quilt – please bring it with you.  Lesson will be going over: foundation paper/cutouts; Templates/cutouts; Instructions of pattern and colorway assembly. \n11/16/2013 – Technique 1:  New York Beauty- Students are required to have all foundation papers; templates and fabric cut out prior to class – where I will show you how to start your paper piecing process and introduce- you to Judy’s organizational skills and layouts. \nNo Class in December – Enjoy the Holidays with your family… BUT!!! Do your homework! \n01/18/2014 – 2014!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!  We will be working with Technique 2: Geese in the Pond.  Please insure that you have all your fabric and foundations patterns cut out prior to class. \n02/15/2014 – Technique 3:  Lone Star:  This is a “easy” class – we will introduce to strip piecing.. A quick lesson – and will allow you time to catch up on anything that you might need to. \n03/15/2014 – Technique 4:  Snowflake Star.  Welcome to Judy’s signature piece.  This beautiful and detailed piece is stunning – and is used in other patterns designed by Judy.. Very detailed.. yet.. very beautiful.. \nNo Class in April – Enjoy the Holidays with your family… BUT!!! Do your homework! \n05/17/2014 – Technique 5: Feathered Star.  We will be picking up speed on this section.  If you haven’t done so already\, you need to work on Technique 6 – Geese (similar to Technique 2) and the Template pieces along with the G3 pieces.  At our last class – I want to tech you the “Y” seam technique along with finishing you 60″ x 60″ quilt.   ALOT OF WORK!!! \n06/21/2014 – Technique 6:  PARTY TIME… We will finish our quilts in piecing.. and we will enjoy having fellowship time.. You will learn the “y” seam and finish your quilt. \n  \n
