Thistle Pods
Corrections Page
May 1st Correction 2008’
If your pattern does not read ‘May 1st Correction 2008’ on the front page of the instruction booklet in the upper left hand corner then you need to print this correction page to replace Page 4 in your booklet unless you have already cut out all your fabric using the Original Cutting Instructions. If you have already cut out all your fabric, please see below.
How to Correct for error in Original Cutting Instructions if you have already cut out your fabric.
If you have already cut out the fabrics for Thistle Pods before finding these corrections, you probably ran out of yardage. If this is the case, you need to print this page. The reason for this is that in the original cutting instructions, I told you to cut twice the number of strips and rectangles needed to complete the cutting for the Template Layout Sheets for Units T2-L,T2-R, T3-L, and T3-R.
The fix, however, is very simple and does not require you to purchase any additional fabric. Nor will you need to do any extra cutting. You just need to move some fabric pieces around to finish the final cutting on pages 7 and 8 for the background fabric on the TPB Border Units and TPB-C Corner Units. Follow the steps laid out in the downloadable Acrobat Reader document to the left to move the left over fabric strips and extra pieces to the appropriate bags.

A Garden for my Wedding Ring
Corrections Page
We recently discovered a printing error in our newest reprint that can cause you to waste background fabric due to a slightly too small template. Please read the following explanation!

Diamond Wedding Ring
Corrections Page
We have found 4 errors in the Diamond Wedding Ring pattern. They can be found on pages 2, 3, 6, and 10. Make special note of the corrections on page 10 before sewing your strips together. The drop was incorrect and you won't be able to get the correct number of cuts required. If you have already sewn your strips together you may save them by picking out the groups of 12 into groups of 4. This will allow you to make the required number of cuts.

Twisted Star Corrections
Page
The Twisted Star
pattern was published on Dec. 11, 1999. I taught my first
class on Jan. 7th, 2000. During the class we found that two
of the lines on my Unit A cutting chart and one line on my
Unit B cutting chart had been calculated incorrectly. Also
at this time I realized that I had written the cutting instructions
for the stars to be cut from 42" strips but the yardage
instructions were setup to use fat quarters or 1/4 yd strips.
As a result, I have made the following changes on the cutting
charts and also have reworded the first two sentences of Step
2 on pages 3 and 4. We are sorry for any inconvenience that
this may have caused you. There are possibly a hundred patterns
that were sold that have this problem. If you have purchased
your pattern after January 17th, 2000, your pattern has been
corrected.
During the time
since then, we have found a few minor corrections which we
have corrected in Version 3 of the pattern. These corrections
can be seen in the following Acrobat Reader File.

Sabertooth Stars Corrections
Page
The first 100 patterns
which we printed for the Sabertooth Stars has corrections
on pages 7, 8, and 12. As you will see from the Acrobat Reader
file that you can download by pressing the button below, the
corrections are all shaded blue. Also, on the foundation papers,
Border Unit A template which reads AB-3 should read BB-3.
The Acrobat Reader file for that explains the difference.

Starburst Corrections
Page
Some of the pictures
in the Starburst pattern are hard to decipher whether you
are looking at the right or the wrong sides of the fabric.
Some were taken with the right side of the fabric up when
they should have been taken with the wrong side of the fabric
up in order to be make sense with what the instructions are
trying to explain. We apologize for this inconsistency.
The following corrections
will demonstrate on those photos which are difficult to determine
which sides are up in the photo. Also please note the corrections
on page 10 under Corner Border Unit 3 and Foundation Paper
Piecing Border Units.

Arrowhead Crossing Corrections Page
There were several hundred patterns that were sold with a few errors in the cutting charts. Most of the errors are minor but there is a major mathematical error involving the A Arcs. The result is that you will need to cut more fabric pieces and will need more fabric to complete the A Units. There are sufficient paper pieces, it just involves the number of pieces you need to cut and the amount of fabric required. Please check your pattern to see if these changes need to be made. They are found on pages 5, 6, 8, and 20 and are highlighted with 'BLUE'. Some of the patterns include this correction information in the pattern on one 'corrections' page. You can print these sheets from the Acrobat Reader file linked here and have the complete corrected page to include with your pattern.

Stars and Geese Corrections Page
A customer pointed out an error on the second page involving the Background Template FG1 in that you need to crosscut 80 HALF-square triangles, not quarter-square triangles. Please check your pattern to see if this change needs to be made. The error is found on page 2 and is highlighted with 'BLUE'. You can print this sheet from the Acrobat Reader file linked here and have the complete corrected page to include with your pattern.

Total Eclipse Corrections Page
A customer pointed out an error on the Unit KM Cutout Template. The width and length of the straight edges on the template should be 5 1/2" instead of 5 1/4". Please check your pattern to see if this change needs to be made. It is possible that when you print the .pdf file that the template will be the proper size, but don't assume that it will be correct. There can be size distortion created by different printers and software. Make sure to measure the sides to insure that they are actually 5 1/2". Please follow the instructions on the correction page.

Misty Mountain Pond Corrections Page
We found that on Page 3 while cutting "Medium Blue Color #4: Template CG-3" that we omitted a '1/2"' as is shown in this correction. There was a second correction found on Page 4 and on the template sheet for Temp CGC-1 where the template size for Template CGC-1 was incorrect. The size is actually 6 1/2" x 2 1/2".
Please check your pattern to see if this change needs to be made. If your pattern shows "Version 2.2" on the front page, the corrections have already been made. If it shows "Version 1" or anything else, please print out these corrections or pencil in the corrections on your pattern. We are sorry for this error.

Glacier Pines Corrections Page
There is a correction to be found on page 3 for template CG-2 and CG-3. The cut size was backwards between the two templates. This can only be found in the first printing (Version 1). Later printings had this correction made.

Hawaiian Star Corrections Page
Here are a few corrections for the Hawaiian Star Pattern.
Correction #1: The yardage amounts for Background Fabric #2 should be 1-1/2 yards. If your pattern reads 1-1/4 yards you may run a few inches short when you cut out the background pieces for the CG-Units. I have corrected this shortage by changing the cutting instructions for the Lone Star Units.
Correction #2: Use Background #1 instead of Background #2 for the two background strips used in Unit LS-1 and Unit LS-5. Refer to the PDF file for the corrections on this color.
Correction #3: We changed the yardage amounts for Purple Fabric #1 and Purple Fabric #2 on the yardage chart on pages 19 and 20. If you purchased a fabric kit that was cut using the Hoffman Fabrics, you probably only have 1/2 yard cuts for both purple fabrics. Some people have been running short on Purple Fabric #2. When you cut the pieces for Template RS-9 you may end up a few pieces short. If you do end up short, you can substitute any one of the Ocean fabrics to complete the cutting for these pieces.
