| The Wandering Star was designed as a tool to teach beginner level foundation paper piecing. This quilt is about as easy as it gets. The layout for this quilt was designed for foundation paper piecing. Blending color and texture between lights, medium, and darks brings new life to this quilt.
The pattern includes enough foundation paper to complete the 50" by 62" quilt shown. Extra foundation papers can be purchased for both the stars and the geese. The stars and geese are sold in two separate packages below.

This pattern option includes the Wandering Star basic pattern which
includes enough foundation papers to complete the layout as shown on the cover
sheet to your left.

Wandering Stars Extra Foundation Geese Papers
1 pkg. has 7 pages which yields 98 geese and 14 cornerstones. This should give you enough Geese to complete a border for any size quilt up to King.

Wandering Stars
Extra Foundation Star Papers
1 pkg has 7 pages which yields 14 stars and 21 cornerstones. Each star is a 12" block. As a general guide, a double size quilt would take 1 pkg, a queen would probably take 2 pkgs, and a king should most likely take 3 pkgs. You need to design your layout and then estimate how many stars you need to complete your quilt.
