| Indian Summer
Indian summer was designed as a quick and easy teaching tool to demonstrate
foundation paper piecing using templates. I wanted to design a quilt that
required no thought in figuring yardage or picking out fabric. This quilt
is surprisingly fun and simple to make.
Some simple Instructions:
Yardage: Each block requires one 5" by 39" strip.
Color: Half the strips are light and half are dark.
Cutting: Stack the strips and use the templates to cut all the strips
the same way.
Fabrics: Designed for Flannel, Plaids, Batik, or regular weight cotton
fabrics.
Ruler: The add-a-three-eights ruler should be used for Flannel and Plaids
The add-a-quarter ruler should be used
for regular weight fabric.
The original pattern includes
enough papers to make 44 blocks.
The extra foundation packages includes enough paper to make 32 blocks.
