I designed the foundation blocks used for the Tropical Sundance after a traditional block known as the Crown of Thorns. Sheryl Mycroft designed the setting and made the quilt shown on the cover page using fabrics designed by Island Batik, Inc. The simplicity of this design along with the large variety of fabric used to create the color scheme should make this quilt fun and exciting for all quilters with any level of experience. Tropical Sundance was designed for foundation paper piecing using two foundation units.

This pattern option includes the Tropical Sundance Basic Pattern which includes enough foundation papers to complete the layout as shown on the cover sheet to your left.

One package when combined with the Tropical Sundance Basic Pattern will extend this quilt to 10 x 10 blocks which is a queen sized pattern with borders. If you would like to make the quilt into a king size, you will need two packages.
