Fabrics for the quilt shown on the cover were designed and donated by Hoffman Fabrics. Sheryl Mycroft and I designed the layout and applique for Thistle Creek Crossing using foundation papers from our Stars and Spike series. Sixteen blocks are made using foundation paper to create the spikes for the Thistle Tops. Sheryl designed the setting so the blocks would float in the background fabric allowing room to add applique stems and leaves to finish the thistles. The applique pieces are large and easy to handle making this a great applique quilt for a beginner. This booklet includes all the foundation paper, cutting instructions, yardage, applique instructions, and templates needed to complete either quilt shown on the cover.
