Bradley and Judy Niemeyer designed the foundation pieces and layout for the Misty Mountain Pond. A collection of blues, purples, and teals designed by Hoffman fabrics were used to make this quilt. A sewing technique called foundation paper piecing is used when sewing the pieces onto the foundation units. Curved piecing, traditional piecing, and applique skills are required to join the units after the foundation piecing is completed.

This package includes enough foundaton papers when included with the Misty Mountain Pond Basic Pattern to increase the layout to 100" by 100" or 110" by 110". Included in the instruction sheet are cutting instructions and yardage requirements for two different sizes and three different layouts.
