The Jumping Jax Flash was created using the corner papers from the Mariner's Star. Bradley designed a spiky border to fit between the stars around the edge of the quilt. The quilt was designed for foundation paper piecing. The foundation units are very simple to master and fit together with simplicity. This pattern includes instructions and yardage requirements for the quilt shown on the cover sheet plus four additional sizes. If you choose to make a larger quilt you will need to purchase extra foundation papers.

This pattern includes cutting and yardage instructions for five quilt sizes along with enough foundation papers to complete the quilt shown on the cover sheet which was made using the layout for the 55" by 68" quilt listed in the cutting and yardage instructions. The quilt shown on the cover sheet is 62" by 75" because a 3 1/2" solid border was added to the outside edge of the pieced border. Extra foundation papers can be purchased to complete any of the larger sizes listed in these instructions along with layouts for each size.
