This nontraditional layout for the Crown of Thorns was designed for foundation paper piecing by Bradley and Judy Niemeyer.
The fabrics used in the quilt on the cover were designed by Hoffman Fabrics of California. The background setting for the spikes and arcs in the quilt were designed to use several fabrics blending texture, value, and color. A selection of purple fabrics, turquoise fabrics, and green fabrics were blended to create the background for this quilt.
Paper piecing, curved piecing, strip piecing, and traditional piecing techniques are used when constructing The Crown of Thorns.
