Jennifer has been teaching quilting for roughly 18 years, mainly in Kodiak, Alaska. She is a passionate paper piecer who loves to try new patterns, learn new techniques, and then teach others. She originally was introduced to Judy’s patterns a little over 14 years (or so) ago, learning how to make a double wedding ring. Since “finding” Judy’s newer patterns in 2010—starting with the Amazon Star, she had been making and teaching others to make Quiltworx quilts non-stop since then. Jennifer finds herself looking for ways to incorporate “Judy’s way” into all of her quilting classes.
Although she continues to be a middle school special education teacher Jennifer spends every Thursday at her local quilt shop teaching quilting classes. She is one of those people who has a relatively small stash of fabric because she is always making something new. Projects that Jennifer are involved with include coordinating the housewarming gift quilts to new residents of the local Elder House (long term care facility) and making an annual raffle quilt for the local Hospice.
